POULTRY VENTILATION TYPES:
1.Tunnel Ventilation
2.Minimum Ventilation
3.Natural Ventilation
4.Transition Ventilation
Tunnel Ventilation:
●It works by using air speed to cool the
poultry animal.
The air enter from the front of the house then
travel down the lenght of the house
over
the poultry animal.
And this which is called “wind chill effect”.
●Chill effect in tunnel is depending on the
age of the bird it experiences
different
chill effect
Minimum Ventilation:
●If the
inside set of temperature is higher than outside temperature
The
air mix with the warmer air inside the house before it comes in contact
With the animal
●So
that if the house become cooler than the set point, than the heat source is in
correct.
Not to
reduce minimum ventilation to increase heat the house.
Minimum air requirement need to be calculated
that the animal needs
Natural Ventilation:
●It occurs required inside temperature and the outside temperature is EQUAL
●When the animal requires no heating or cooling
When animal only requires air circulation in the house
●To bring in Oxygen and to remove Harmful Gases
Transition
Ventilation:
●When
the animal requires cooling
●This is when the pressure increases in the house
This is when there becomes Air Speed in the house
●With Air Speed the animal feel a Chill Effect
Animal feels cooler
All of the third first
of the above ventilation is come under the heading of
“Low Pressure Ventilation”
(LPV)
